I agree Sven. No way do these things balance out. Bilic's first season a very good example.

I never knew Charlie Austin I was a Britpop megastar.

Showing a Chambers tackle on Salah that was identical to Nobles at Leicester

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
Austin spending too much time in the Mark Hughes school of being a whiney twat and blaming refs for your teams failings.

Am with vexed on this one...as long as Hughes is their manager i have no problem.seeing Southampton go down.

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
Robertson was coming out and the back of his heel was playing a couple onside
Mitrovic was probably level and could have been inches on or off if you examined it minutely
The linesman wasn’t even in line so it was a guess

Unmarked Shaqiri makes it 2-0 after 52mins
Game over

What a surprise ! :-(

Looked like a moving ball for sure. Have not seen the Fulham offside but the linesman had to call it for the rich club I guess?

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
Austin would be forever suspended if he played for us.

His rant is about a game in which the important shit decisions were 50% for side and 50% for the other.

He wouldn't be able to cope with the games we've played where they've all gone against us.

Sven Roeder 2:39 Sun Nov 11
Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
Mitrovic scores at the Kop End, Lino guesses that he is offside.
Liverpool take a quick goal kick with a moving ball and 10 secs later Salah scores

VAR !

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
It does appear that refs favour the rich clubs that bring in all the foreign TV subscriptions. As mentioned below, Scudamore said Man U have to be in Europe for the sake of the "product" (Premiership).

Refs are probably under pressure and guilty of what is termed "unconscious bias" at best and "conscious bias" at worst.

That season under Bilic where we were denied clear penalties, handballs, non-penalties against us and wrongful sendings off. Couple of seasons back wasn't it? They have yet to be evened out and this season seems to largely be going the same way.

Then when we get VAR,like against Spurs when Antonio gets fouled by 2 players in the penalty area as we mount a comeback, the Ref decides it is not needed !

Thats the problem, the Refs need to be taken out of that process. Anything like penalties and close offsides need to be decided by an independent set of officials and the ref just asks them.

But I think sadly that as many say, the "table is tilted", the "game rigged". Too much money involved and human nature mean its almost inevitable :-(

In the Burnley game :
Pen for Diangana- lost that one
Sending off for tackle on Obiang - lost that one
Sending off for tackle on Diangana- lost that one

When are we winning 3 to balance that out?

Another example of why footballers should let their feet do the talking. Squeaking like an old tart...

I'm sure he won't swing his handbag around like this again when he sees what an absolute cunt he looks like when he sees the interview

Having said that....should have signed him years ago from Swindon iirc...would have got us goals in the fizzy pop as well as the premiership...would have definitely have given us a better return on investment than AC...injury prone striker...don't we just love them?

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
Mourinho and other managers will quite rightly be pissed off if he doesn’t get the same punishments that they do when they criticise officials.
3 match ban is about right and a warning to keep his mouth shut in future

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
When players stop trying to deceive and cheat the ref and stop feigning injury they will then be in a position to rant about the match officials failings.

Sven Roeder 12:53 Sun Nov 11
Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
It’s a bit rich for them to get all worked up.
As mentioned Bertrand should have got a second yellow and given away a pen.
Game would have been 1-1 and the Austin incident probably wouldn’t have happened with 10 men.
Watford finished the better with 11 men anyway and scored again
In truth the ref cost Watford the game in all likelihood

I think it's excellent that Southampton feel like they got robbed of points because they're a shit little club and Charlie Austin is a fucking clogger. What a cunty bunch they are. Fuck em. Hope they get relegated.

Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
I don't know what his or the motd pundits problems were to be honest. How the fuck is a player not interfeering with play if he's standing in front of the goalkeeper, between him and the ball, and has to swerve out the way to let the ball go past, it's ridiculous.

Imo you should be deemed as interfeering of you're standing in the box.

Bill Shankly, interfering ....etc etc

Sven Roeder 12:29 Sun Nov 11
Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
I think people understand refs and linos have difficult jobs. Impossible sometimes when players are trying to cheat.
VAR would help get better decisions.
That’s all we want

Sven Roeder 12:26 Sun Nov 11
Re: Charlie Austin's Rant
Just saw Bertrand’s tackle
Pen and yellow and off he goes.
VAR would have sorted that and decided on the Southampton ‘goal’.

the 'it's always happened' argument is bollocks. they were made fulltime to improve the standard, it's got worse
